New workshops in Taste of Okura
Taste of Okura, the culinary center of Hotel Okura Amsterdam where you can cook your own star dinners, has proved to be a success in the first few months after the opening. Now, it is time to announce the new calendar of available workshops. In the next months you can, for example, choose the workshop Taste of Kaizeki, where you practice the very precious haute cuisine of Japan: Kaiseki Ry_ri. It is the perfect way to experience this highly refined art! An overview of all planned workshops is now online available.

Taste of Choca
In a special workshop you will explore the different kinds of chocolate there are and discover the secrets of the genuine American brownie. Grandma's home-made chocolate mousse will also be given a modern twist. And that's not all - you will experience chocolate as you never have before. From 12:00 to 15:00 you will prepare the most delicious chocolates. Then, the enjoyment really starts. Accompanied by coffee or tea, you can taste your own delightful creations. When taking some home, you can enjoy the delight of chocolate even longer. Truly a mouth-watering workshop!

Taste of Sinterklaas
For children aged 7-13
In this workshop you will be one of the ‘Pieten' working in Saint Nicholas' bakery. Will you be helping the other Pieten bake the most delicious biscuits? Or will you be making a marzipan steam boat? You decide. And of course, the only way to check if your sweets are successful... is to taste them yourself! Afterwards, you will receive an Okura taste-certificate, so you can show to your parents what a star you were in the bakery!

Taste of Christmas
In most households, preparing a Christmas dinner means a lot of effort. This year however, you can look forward to a stress-free Christmas thanks to a whole new approach: at Taste of Okura you will get the opportunity to prepare a three course ‘pre-Christmas' dinner. In the course of an evening's ‘cooking rehearsal' you will learn how to prepare a full French Christmas dinner without stress. Of course you will also get the opportunity to enjoy the food you prepare, accompanied with a glass of carefully selected wine. The recipes will also be available, so you can prepare them again at home. The evening starts at 18:00 with a welcome drink, after which the workshop starts at 18:30.
