Workshops for private individuals
Okura's Culinary Center is the cookery studio for you to get the knack of haute cuisine. That's irrespective of whether you're drawn to the unique take on French cuisine offered at the Okura's Ciel Bleu (two Michelin stars), traditional Japanese kaiseki cuisine from the Yamazato restaurant, the Okura's fine sushi, or exciting teppanyaki cuisine from our other Japanese restaurant, Sazanka.

Michelin-starred Chefs
Depending on the type of workshop you prefer, we select the appropriate chef from one of Okura's kitchens. Perhaps you'll also meet our starred chefs Akira Oshima and Onno Kokmeijer for yourself, because every cookery lesson begins with a social glass of prosecco or Japanese plumwine and elegant amuses in the Okura's Wine Room.
All the Recipes
The remainder of the workshop, lasting around four hours, takes place in our Culinary Center. Here, all the dishes will be carefully explained to you before - with a glass of good wine our sake to hand - you will be able to have a go at making them yourself. When everything is ready, you take your place at table in the Taste of Okura's atmospheric lounge to enjoy all the delicious goodies you've made. At the end of the evening, you are given all the recipes to take home with you.
Individually and in Groups
You can join in one of our regular cookery workshops as an individual, or in a group of up to six people. The Okura's Culinary Center may also be hired as a whole, for groups of up to 24 participants.
Wine Courses
The wine and sake courses take place in the Wine Room of the Taste of Okura, which has space for up to 18 participants. This is also where you are met with a fine glass of prosecco or Japanese plumwine, after which the theme of the workshop you are taking part in is gone into in more depth. Of course, you get to taste all the wines and sakes under discussion.
